The village of Doylestown is a thriving community with easy access to large metropolitan areas.
We are located 15 minutes from Akron, 30 minutes from Canton, Wooster and Medina and 45 minutes south of Cleveland. In addition to our proximity to larger cities, we offer a population area of 11,000 people within 5 minutes and daily traffic flows of nearly 40,000 vehicles.
Traveling to and from Doylestown is made easy by an excellent transportation system that surrounds our community. State Route 21 is a four-lane divided highway that is the preferred route.
North-South truck route in the Cleveland-Akron-Canton area. I-76 and I-77 are just north of our community and offer easy connections to the Ohio Turnpike and Route I-71. This location places Doylestown at the crossroads for new regional development.
There are many advanced education institutions located near our community including, The University of Akron, The University of Akron - Wayne College, Kent State University, The Ohio State University branch in Wooster as well as many business and trade schools. We possess a strong and educated work force pool. While maintaining a small town atmosphere for our residents, our government leaders are committed to providing the necessary infrastructure to provide opportunities for economic develop ment. The Village has completed the infrastructure to State Route 585 and State Route 21 corridors. Currently these are undeveloped areas of our community that we have identified as the key for our future growth.
Doylestown is also a business friendly community offering site location and development assistance, tax abatement programs, and other programs to assist business development.
